At the moment it’s Halasana or Plough pose! Besides the fact that it stretches out the entire back of my body and legs, the pose for me offers such comfort and calm once I settle my heart, my mind and allow my senses and body to stretch out.

My favourite thing about Freedom Yoga is the people. Every time I walk into the studio, I know I’m going to meet a friend. Other that the people, I absolutely love the lounge area at Cecil Street.
Anjaneyasana. It just feels great to be able to open the heart so much. It’s also an amazing educational pose to teach anybody–and I mean anybody from beginners to regular practitioners, about backbends.
I once instructed a class into ardha matsyendrasana (half lord of the fish pose) and asked them to put their hand through the hole in between their legs. People giggled. I blushed. So bad.
